Charity & Community Engagement

Little Wheel is a business that derives its profits from the gambling industry. Gambling is a source of entertainment for most, but some people are at risk of harm from addiction. People can end up spending more time and money gambling than they intended to. We recognize we have a duty to help minimize gambling harm.

Our Safer Gambling Principles:

  1. Build safer gambling best practices into our products

  2. Support national and international charities to fund research into safer gambling

  3. Support local state charities that provide services to people experiencing gambling harm

Engaging with Stakeholders

In November 2018 we attended William Hill’s Nobody Harmed Conference in London. We met with representatives from charities, operators, and the UK regulator to discuss how data and technology can reduce risky gambling behavior.

In January 2019 we exhibited at ICE within the Consumer Protection Zone alongside charities, operators, and other startups focused on reducing gambling harm. We participated in Pitch ICE to share our operator solutions to reduce risky gambling behavior. We were interviewed for ICE TV.

Raising Money for Safer Gambling

In 2016, Dan and Jack climbed 5,895 meters to Mount Kilimanjaro summit with the Responsible Gambling Trust (now GambleAware) to raise money for education, research, and treatment in the UK. They joined representatives from William Hill, Coral, Genting UK, Praesepe, SG Gaming, and Inspired Gaming.
